Do you provide free equipment?
Although several processing companies claim to provide free equipment it is advised that you ask them if there are any changes in the rates and fees if you accept a free credit card terminal. Several companies charge higher monthly fees, or monthly minimums to cover this cost. Pivotal Payments does not do this. Whether you take advantage of the free equipment options or not, your rates and fees will be the same.
Do you have a contract?
To our knowledge there is not a single company in the US that allows their customers to enter into a merchant processing agreement without a contract. On certain situations some processing companies may do an amendment to their terms to reduce the contract to term.
What is your highest rate I will see?
This is an important question to ask. Several companies make claims of rates of 0.00% or 1.00%. These companies seduce you rates that you will never see and charge you large surcharge fees on top of them.
Do you accept pin based debit?
Some companies refuse to offer the acceptance of pin based debit for their merchants. This is done often times because the merchant processing companies make more money on a debit card if the customer does not enter their pin number. If they do enter a pin number to cost is much lower to the merchant and much lower risk to the merchant and card holder.
How often are my deposits made?
Some companies hold your credit card funds up to 30 days. All of our companies make deposits regularly to your bank account of choice each night. No more waiting for your funds.
How do I receive my deposits?
Some companies still want to mail you a check. Make certain that your processing company sends your funds via ACH or EFT.
When am I charged for my processing fees?
Several companies are starting to process fees daily (which is also called net pay). This cost business owners more money. By using this method, if you company processes a card for $100.00 then you may only receive $97.00 the next day. This causes complications for accounting and makes reconciliation nearly impossible. All of our companies charge your total credit card fees for the previous month at the beginning of the next. We do not process fees daily which means your company will have extra money for your day to day operations.

All underwriting for any merchant account is done so by the party to whom the merchant account is assigned. Merchant Accounts are to be used by business as a means to accept credit cards. Any merchant who appears to be using their merchant account in any other way may have the merchant account disabled, closed, or merchant application denied.

Northwest Arkansas Merchant Services currently has locations in all 50 states throughout the US.
